Nostalghia
Dear Blog,
I’m starting to feel guilty about the fact that I’m not able to write unless it’s in English. I feel somehow very close to the movie I watched today (Tarkovsky’s Nostalghia).
Other movies I’ve watched lately :
- Garrincha
- The Star
- Lust, caution
Amor, Amor,

Theology
No, the serpent did not
Seduce Eve to the apple.
All that’s simply
corruption of the facts.
Adam ate the apple.
Eve ate Adam.
The serpent ate Eve.
This is the dark intestine.
The serpent, meanwhile,
Sleeps his meal off in Paradise –
Smiling to hear
God’s querulous calling.

Those fox-thoughts
1) Movies
- La visite de la fanfare (with the beautiful Ronit Elkabetz)
- Into the wild (bad bad movie).
I’ve been feeling very tired and almost fell asleep at the cinema. Tiredness sometimes gets mistaken with depression, so beware in order to not get fooled by this trojan horse! I’ve been listening to some beautiful old Will Oldham songs and Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours.
Sometimes it becomes frightening to dwell constantly in childhood. I am so tired of trying to figure things out, although that’s a new thing. My father used to be pretty much drowned somewhere in my head. He keeps surfacing.

(end of) travelling?
1) Movies:
- XXY
- Macunaima.
Interests: I realized (though a bit late…) how important it is to know exactly the place you’re living in. I lived most of my life in one city and it’s sad to notice that I’ve forgotten a lot about its history and I’ve never gotten to know most of it. I will surely start my crusade with my hometown. I will then move on to the town I currently reside in. It’s a part of one own’s history and future. The important thing is not to lose focus…

Avant que j’oublie
Yesterday I came back to Strasbourg. I also watched “La chate à deux têtes” by Jacques Nolot. I sincerely love him.
I think perhaps it would be a good idea to write down the movies I’ve watched lately and the books I’ve been reading, so that they won’t be lost in the past. I will try to do that as often as I can.
As of last week:
1) Movies
- Mildred Pierce
- Gummo
- The Night Porter
- Alice
- Flamingo Road
- Wild Tigers I Have Known
- O Ano Em Que Meus Pais Sairam De Férias
- One documentary about Bette Davis and another one about Joan crawford.
- La chatte à deux têtes
- Je Tu Il Elle
2) Books:
- The Working Brain
- Ted Hughes’ complete poems
3) Art exhibitions:
- Richard Wagner (cité de la musique)
- Lascaux caves
4) church:
- Igreja Universal do Reino de Deus (Paris).
I saw this weird japanese guy on the train (he had really long painted nails). There’s no snow in Strasbourg so far. I’m afraid of going back to work.
